Back to Nature
We went back to Long Branch Nature Center to enjoy the warm(ing) weather. There were lots of rocks tossed and imaginary tadpoles caught. I made some paper boats to float down the stream. Next time we'll make sturdier boats at home and watch the current carry them away.
There is a fork in the trail and this time the boys chose to go right which leads to a steep hill and eventually, a playground. When they had had their fill, we drove around and found a good place for lunch and then headed home for naptime.
Speaking of nature, as we all know there was a massive earthquake and tsunami in northern Japan on Friday. One of my best friends lives in Tokyo with her family. By email she let me know that all was well with her but that they went through quite a scare. Last month a major earthquake rocked Christchurch, NZ and devastated much of the city. Christchurch is a special place for C and me and the news affected us deeply. My best friend is safe and sound. But someone lost their best friend today.
