I know, this is a rare weekend post. C and I had planned a date night tonight, just a casual night out to one of his favorite restaurants. We even told friends we were busy tonight when they asked to come over. But the nanny canceled so we're staying in. We don't really mind though. The housekeepers came early in the morning and the house is clean; there's a big pot of chicken soup with wild mushrooms on the stove; we're planning on ordering dinner from a new Cajun restaurant on 18th Street; and we've got a few foreign films we want to watch and some new books to read.
