A Strange But Good Week Ends

Whether it was the full moon, Halloween, or something else, this week was a strange one.  Hurricane Sandy closed schools Monday and Tuesday, and we already didn't have school Thursday and Friday (parent-teacher conferences).  So the boys ended up only having school on Halloween.  I can't complain about the strange schedule - it gave me extra time with BB and DD to do nothing but be together.  Housebound, I broke out a new board game, read new books (we ventured out on day two to the store), took walks in the rain, had pizza for dinner, watched movies, made haunted gingerbread houses, organized parts of the house, and got ourselves into a Halloween frenzy.

The weekend brings cool weather and a birthday party, but also chunks of free time to explore and recharge for next week.  Oh, and it's Daylight Savings so we get an extra hour of weekend time.  Enjoy!
