Connecting Through Art

Last week during one of the many days the boys didn't have school, I took a break from work and headed to the Hirschhorn to see Ai WeiWei's According to What? exhibit.  I love modern art and I sense that my boys respond more to modern art at this age.  They are drawn to the scale, the colors, the materials.  A long, undulating snake composed entirely of backpacks.  Yes!  A cube light that occupies an entire gallery?  BB wants to know what it would be like to live in it.

I'm really looking forward to this weekend.  The weather is warming up meaning we're spending as much time outdoors as possible!
