Oh has our week been busy. Our usual rhythm was interrupted, punctuated by intervening events. To try and regain some of it, we revisited Long Branch Nature Center. It's been a year and a half since our last visit and I must have been out of practice because within the first 10 minutes, BB was in the water, shoes and all. DD was next. And I had failed to pack back up shoes and socks. Although the temperatures were mild for November, soaking wet socks and shoes just don't feel good. They somehow suffered through it though, both boys crossing the creek several times (on their own) climbing rocks and fallen trees on the other side. All I can do is watch, hold my breath, and hope they don't fall badly.
