Enjoying Fall Over the Long Weekend

We had sort of a long weekend (C and I did, the boys didn't) that involved some glorious weather.  After swimming and lunch, we ditched our usual errands and headed north to Seneca Creek State Park to see the last of the Fall foliage and catch some rays on the banks of the lake.  We took a short trail around half of the lake to see kayakers.  BB and DD went to investigate a beaver's house.  They frolicked about while C and I enjoyed the golden light of Fall.

It makes all the difference having an extra day off.  C and I put off the bulk of our errands to Monday so that we could spend the time having fun with the boys.  On Monday after school dropoff, C and I went to breakfast at a diner near school and then ran errands until it was time for pickup.  A perfect 3 days.
