On days that I work from home, DD and I spend a few hours alone together before we pick up BB. It starts with me picking up DD from school and bringing him home for lunch. We snuggle, talk, watch tv, eat lunch, and play (him) and work (me) until it's nap time. Instead of napping at home, DD and I leave the house for a nice drive. Most days he immediately falls asleep in the car and I have an hour or so to drive around before heading back to school to fetch BB.
I treat these drives as quiet time for me, time I wouldn't otherwise spend this way. It's frequently interrupted by calls from work but on some days, it's completely quiet. My plan is to come up with a list of destinations I want to check out and see them this way.
