A Cozy Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve rivals Christmas as one of my favorite days of the year.  Somehow magically, everything you fretted about comes together in the last moment.  This year we took our usual family walk around the neighborhood and stopped in for bagels and coffee.  By mid-morning we were off to GG/PP's house.

While C and I ran some last minute errands, the boys happily played with Uncle JJ.  Like last year, our new family tradition is sushi and sashimi for Christmas Eve dinner followed up with plenty of red velvet cupcakes, gingerbread, and banana bread.

As a surprise, someone gifted us with some giant gingerbread man kits from Trader Joe's (coincidentally, I had bought the same kit the day before).  After dinner, the boys got to work decorating their own gingerbread men.  The reveal tomorrow.

All the presents we purchased this year, with the exception of one huge item, were all pretty small so wrapping was quick and easy.  After everyone left, C and I ate Santa's cookies and planned how Elfy Sam was going to point the boys back upstairs for their big surprise.
