Our Late Nights

Did I tell you how we ended up having two dinners Saturday night with the boys?  The first one happened in a nice restaurant.  The second, in a gourmet market ghetto-style (i.e., a package of Hebrew Nationals nuked in the complimentary microwave).  By the time we got home, it was late and we were all wiped.

We've been having lots of late nights lately.  It comes with the holiday season and trying to do and see everything.  One thing that keeps us out in the evenings is a trip to our beloved Winter Lights Festival over at Seneca Creek Park, our annual holiday favorite.  It's quite a drive for us but in this past week, we went twice already.  DD fell asleep the first time and could not be woken, so BB climbed out of his carseat and sat with me in the front seat.  He was delighted.

The second time, I forcibly woke DD up and he was fuming.  But in no time at all he was enchanted by the lights, he and his big brother in the very back of the station wagon rolling around, oohing and ahhing.  It was a throwback to my childhood.
