An Early Start Saturday

C ordered the boys new shoes - trail shoes which are better than sneakers for the type of stuff we do on the weekends.  To give them a test run, we headed out super early Saturday morning to Potomac Overlook.  It was our first visit, but it won't be our last.  The park has fantastic trails and a great nature center.

After a nice hike, we spent some time looking at the snakes and turtles in the nature center.  BB was particularly enamored with the garden.  They keep bees there (we'll have to wait for Spring) so BB will insist on returning.  There is also a small but well-designed playground, a good way to end every visit.  And see those sticks we collected?  We're planning a project for those.
