{Fridays}: Farm Museum
To continue the history theme of the morning, we visited a farm museum way out in the suburbs Friday afternoon. I figured a museum where you could touch the exhibits and that had to do with food would be easier to comprehend.
The farm museum had a great general store and period farmhouse kitchen where the boys played and played. There was a "cow" they actually milked, a chicken coop and pretend horses to ride. We spent the entire afternoon visiting the exhibits without any crowds. In fact, only one other family came while we were there, a real treat. Before hitting the road, we stopped by the gift shop to pick up some goodies. I don't know how much of the history concept sunk in but we did have a good time.
