{Friday} At The Beach

We're not heading back to the beach until August, much too long a wait for the boys.  The ocean beaches are about a 2.5 hour drive but the bay is much closer.  I was longing for the water and sand myself so we made the drive, just the three of us.

While the beach itself is very short and cannot compare to the shore, I really liked the gentle waves of the bay for the boys.  We would have stayed much longer had a huge thunderstorm not come in.  But no worries; I've promised the boys we'll be back on a regular basis for the rest of summer.  To make the day extra special, there were 2 boxes waiting for us on the front stoop when we got home - a large batch of books I had ordered to add to their library.
