Some Pig. Terrific. Radiant. And Humble.

Lovers of E.B.White know what I'm talking about.  I decided to spring for a season's worth of tickets at Adventure Theatre and to kick things off, we went to see Charlotte's Web on a super hot afternoon.  Hiding out in the chilly air conditioned theater while watching every American child's favorite story on stage was bliss.

The themes of loss and death had me a bit worried about how the boys would react.  But the story's emphasis on friendship and kindness are too important to miss.  As it turns out, the production did a wonderful job telling the whole story in an age appropriate way.  This book is second on our list of chapter books to read, part of our Summer List 2011.
