And Now For The Second Half Of The Summer...
The boys finished up 6 weeks of summer camp in the blink of an eye. I'd been picking up BB early so that the three of us could go on our outings together and this last Friday was no different. Each of them said goodbye to their teachers and counselors and camp mates. And now we head into the second half of summer, the unstructured half.
The second half always gives me the most stress yet hope. We're splitting the days with our two caregivers and hoping this will keep the boys active and engaged. My in-laws are coming for a few weeks for a much anticipated visit. As I said before, I'm planning on taking a week, and somewhere in between we're going on a trip or two and then to Bethany for another week. And then school starts...shudder.
We're in the midst of recordbreaking heat and humidity so instead of marking the end of camp with a fun adventure, we did indoor things. BTW, I don't know why BB has that look on his face. He was laughing and jumping for joy that camp was over and then when I snapped the photo, he looked like that.
