In Praise of Cardboard + Marbles
The constant rain on Saturday kept us indoors for a few hours in the afternoon. While DD napped, C and BB worked on making a Bat Rocket, the Green Goblin's vehicle of choice. Using cardboard from a recent Amazon purchase, duct tape and crayons, the two of them came up with this likeness. If it survives, we may hang it from the ceiling for posterity.
When DD woke up, the first thing he asked to do was the Quadrilla. He challenged me to build the most difficult structure in the book. If you don't own a Quadrilla set, I highly recommend it. It's entertaining for kids and adults alike and it's very well-made. We own this set.
The boys eventually braved the wind and rain and went to our local bookstore with C for some new reading material leaving me home to cook dinner. The rain was welcome today. It kept us cozy in our pajamas playing together at home.
