Christmas is On!

We canceled a few things on the agenda for Sunday so that we could spend some leisurely time together as a family.  In the late morning we headed over to the mall with the intent of buying the boys more shoes (again!) but alas, Santa was there and BB absolutely had to see him.  To his credit, BB waited patiently in line for over an hour for a chance to sit on Santa's lap and have his photo snapped.  Luckily, he struck up a friendly conversation with an older girl waiting in line behind us and the time moved quickly.  Several times I tried to talk BB into coming back another time but he promised he'd "wait patiently."  And he did.

DD, on the other hand, ran around and then insisted on a snack.  He ordered for himself - a muffin and a lemonade.  In the evening, we went to the Winter Lights Festival.  Again!  Yes, we've got the Christmas spirit.

P.S. Last year while waiting in line to see Santa, freshly baked chocolate chips were being handed out by a nearby bakery.  BB asked me to take him to get one and he held onto that cookie through the entire wait and to my surprise gave it to Santa!  Santa was touched, split the cookie in half and shared it with BB.
