The Day After Christmas

The day after Christmas left BB feeling a bit sad in the morning.  "Is Christmas over?" he asked with disbelieving eyes?  Going for an outing was the perfect solution.  BB decided he wanted to see Arcimboldo one last time so we headed to the NGA.  It was a wonderful morning of a little bit of art, a lot of romping around in the large gallery spaces, and a yummy lunch.

It does feel a bit melancholy the day after Christmas.  Your beautiful tree?  It will be just a few more days before it's thrown out.  The decorations will have to come down.  I find that doing winter-themed decor means I can keep things festive around the house for longer - a cranberry and orange garland, paper snowflakes, a winter village display all are perfectly appropriate for all winter long.
