Leftovers, A Puppet Show + Winter Lights

 

We have never really been Black Friday people.  The crowds, the 4AM start times, it's just not for us.  This year was no different.  We let everyone else do the shopping and hoarding while we enjoyed Thanksgiving leftovers.  In the early morning I started a big pot of turkey broth.  We had tickets for a puppet show (Little Red and The Gingerbread Man) at the Discovery Theater in the morning.

For dinner we all had turkey noodle soup.  To surprise the boys, we took the them to our favorite Winter Lights Festival, a tradition that is 5 years strong in our family.  It meant a late bedtime but that's okay.  This year DD is old enough to enjoy a walking winter lights festival so we'll be going to another one soon.
