Scenes from Last Weekend

Last weekend was the kind that really suits me - some scheduled classes, a birthday party, a morning romp at the playground, a pastry break, and some shopping for new toys.  BB kicked it off with his gold medal ceremony at gymnastics.  In the late afternoon we went to a friend's birthday party where the kids made their own goo.  It was daylight savings and time to fall back so Sunday morning we were up and dressed and at the playground by 8.  A second breakfast later we were off to do some shopping.  The boys saw a counting game called Pop the Pig on TV.  We tracked it down and it had to come home with us.

By the way, the photo of BB with a fan and that funny look on his face?  He is playing a prince in the classical Chinese novel Journey to the West, and that, my friends, is his best "evil" look.  Apparently they are studying this great novel in preschool.  C couldn't be happier.
