Winter Thus Far

In Winter (actually I should say on super cold days), we have a tendency to nest.  Part of the benefit of moving to a larger house laid out the way ours is is that we can easily spend time together, or find quiet rooms and spaces for reading or solo projects, all under one roof.  On the productive side of the nesting ledger, we have been forcefully decluttering.  I'm using my own loose KonMari method.

On the less than productive side, we all are hungry for entertainment.  For us adults and in the same vein as Serial, we (like everyone else) binge-watched the 10 episode Netflix documentary Making a Murderer.  I highly recommend it but know that it will leave you chilled.  After finishing the series, I was curious about any inculpatory evidence the filmmakers did not show so I'm in the midst of that now.  If you like this type of thing, I also recommend The Jinx and The Staircase.

It's Summer camp registration time.  I'm pretty on top of it by now but it's always sticker shock all over again when I add up all the weeks.  Speaking of other costly things, we're busy making vacation plans for Spring break, Summer break, and a bunch of long weekends in between. I'm so excited about our next big vacation.  More about that next time.

Otherwise, we're just doing life with some parties and activities sprinkled in each week.  Oh yeah, and the cold has settled in but we're waiting for it to snow.
