What We've Been Up To Lately

We all survived the first week back to school, work, and activities.  It's been a long week for everyone but the good news is, all four of us are adaptable.  I wanted to share a few photos of what we did around New Years.  For lunch on New Years Eve, we had steaming bowls of pho, lemongrass chicken, and crispy spring rolls.
The boys went to get fresh haircuts for the new year.  On NYE, we went to a party in the evening, came home early to set off all the little poppers we bought, and let the boys stay up past 11!  That's the latest they've ever been up.  Next year, they will out last us, I just know it.
On New Years Day, we went for our family walk to Great Falls.  It was cold (as it should be)!  BB and DD found much joy in playing at the water, but we did get in a long, brisk walk.
More food!  C and I had a date night later that evening.  Without a plan, we meandered down to a new-to-us restaurant in Glover Park.  It was a delicious and we'll definitely be back.  Afterwards, e popped into B&N to buy a few travel books for planning upcoming trips.  And then we shopped the aisles of Target for household things - exciting, right?  By that time of night, it's the only things open. Plus C and I like to talk and plan our for our family, our future, our home, our dreams...while we run errands.  So it really is a fun time.

I'm hoping for more relaxing time off to spend with my family soon.
