The First Snowfall

Before the major storm even hit, a small snowfall sneaked its way in under the radar, dropped at least an inch of snow during rush hour, and wreaked havoc on frigid, untreated roads.  Meteorological models aside, this is a good omen that the impending storm will not disappoint.

The kids (myself included) are just sitting tight waiting to see what happens Friday - field trip, delay, closure, what?  We wait.  Oh and there is no school on Monday so no mystery there.  And we're chilling this morning as school is delayed two hours.

We still have to get ourselves to the stores.  I'm sort of in sheep mode right now doing as others do and wanting to flock to the stores and buy up the shelves.  I'm actually trying to make a list of necessities (e.g., food, water, batteries, coffee) and fun items (e.g., baking ingredients, books, games). Looks like this will be the weekend we finally finish our puzzle!
