After Jonas
Winter Storm Jonas raged for a long time. Friday into Saturday was quite the show. On Sunday, it was a totally different day. Everything was calm, the sun was high, the light was bouncing off all the snow white surfaces, the birds were chirping, and chunks of frosty snow were falling from tree branches. C dutifully went back out to shovel. We could tell that there was another at least two inches that accumulated since our last sled run Saturday evening. Winter Storm Jonas had perseverance.
The front yard is gorgeous in all of it's frosted glory. The back yard is even more impressive with all the tall majestic trees. I'll try to take some photos but right now I can't get back there easily and I don't want to fall in the snow with my camera.
The neighborhood is completely quiet. The only signs of life were tracks (looked like cross country skis) in the middle of our street from earlier this morning. Someone else is alive! I don't know when we'll see a plow but I'm ok with that for now.
