Creature Rescue

To get out of the sun for a bit, we made a trip to the Roanoke Island Aquarium down in Manteo.  We always enjoy the large shark tank with the scuba divers.  Rivaling the sharks and divers this year was a special Creature Rescue exhibit.  It's an interactive exhibit meant to teach kids about the plight of the sea turtle.  The boys donned lab coats, diagnosed their turtles using computers, and then treated them with shots, medicine, and bandages depending on the diagnosis, before releasing them back into the ocean.  BB ran through the exhibit twice; DD insisted on going once more after that.  DD also insisted that we stop at the store to buy a doctor's kit (something he already has).  Luckily, I did find a good one that satisfied him for the rest of the vacation.
