The Baltimore Museum of Art

With all the days off, we have not ventured far from home.  Saturday was our last free one for a while and it came with gorgeous weather.  Wanting to take advantage, we ate a light breakfast and kind of headed towards Baltimore and then zeroed in on the Baltimore Museum of Art.  Can you believe we've never been?  (Already doing great with out latest Winter List).

The BMA has an impressive collection of art, at least one or two gems in each of its galleries.  The modern art and contemporary art collections were our favorites.  There was also a small collection of Asian art, mainly Chinese, which was a nice surprise.

We were all hungry but not really wanting to leave so we hit up the museum restaurant for a what ended up being delicious brunch.  I highly recommend it.

And now for the serious art.  During brunch, the boys started drawing on the butcher paper covered table.  BB began this elaborate formula of codes in different colors.  Most of it was math-related.  It was alike a two dimensional Rube Goldberg machine.  Anyway, it was so impressive that we had to have the waitress clear the table so we could roll it up and take it with us.  You can see a small glimpse of it above.
