More Celebrations

On DD's actual birthday, we sent him to school with cookies to share with his classmates.  Then his teacher invited to come back while she read a little book about him.  Afterwards, the kids sang happy birthday to him 3 times - once in English, once in Spanish, and once in Mandarin.  (Yes, these kids are bright!)  Then I read a few of DD's favorite books to the class before taking him home.  I am enamored with the kids in DD's class.  The older ones (5 and 6) are incredibly helpful and supportive of DD.  After he blew out his candles, the whole class clapped and cheered and many of his friends reached out to touch him in congratulations.  It was beautiful to see.

The three of us then snuck next door to BB's class to see them dancing together.  BB was arm in arm with his friend C.  To be expected.  In the evening, we had a family dinner and then one more cake celebration.  Even DD was all caked out.
