I'm A Little Bit Country
Our little family has come to enjoy a slow start to the morning on the weekends. Rather than the usual pop up before 7AM, the boys now like to come to our room and snuggle in the big bed under one big down comforter. Sometimes they watch a cartoon while I pretend to sleep. Then finally we all head downstairs and have a slow cooked breakfast. They're starting to see the luxury in this.
Saturday morning was such a morning. The night before, DD had requested a return trip to the farm museum (he remembered!). This is the last time we were there. The boys gathered eggs from the chickens, milked the cow, played at the general store, made meals in the country kitchen, ground wheat into flour, and rode the horses in a derby - this time sharing a horse for whatever reason.
