Our Wintry Evenings

We've barely had any evenings I would call "wintry" this season.  We've been wearing jackets, not coats.  Wednesday evening we took a pre-dinner walk to the bookstore for a few volumes the boys had been asking for.  Then after dinner, we made "Chinese New Year cookies" (just sugar cookies with lots of pink, red, orange and white sparkly sugar).  It's hard to come up with something that is quick enough to squeeze in on a school night.

This kind of leads me to the fact that we don't really have many Chinese NY traditions for the boys, and I don't like that.  If you have any suggestions for me, let me know.
