Rocket Museum + A New Winter Lights Favorite
Happy New Year, everyone! Our normal schedules resume tomorrow and the magical holiday time is now behind us. Both C and I took the week off to spend time with our little family and to rest. On Tuesday we went to the Air & Space museum to spend the morning looking at rockets, planes and planets. In the evening we went to Watkins Regional Park to check out their festival of lights. I hate to say this but Watkins Park is beating out Seneca Park as our favorite light display for the holidays. C's new rule is that the boys can get out of their car seats and sit in the back of our station wagon for the light show. As you can imagine, BB and DD are thrilled with the freedom of being out of their seats while the car is moving!
Bedtime was pushed to 10 and even slightly later last week while in vacation mode. It was nice to have the unhurried mornings to make a real breakfast, and the later nights to cook a hearty dinner.
We had lots of outings but we also had pockets of rest scheduled in. Believe it or not, while putting things away we uncovered gifts we purchased for the boys meant for Christmas but had forgotten about. We gave them each another gift a few days ago and they were thrilled. Then a classmate made a surprise visit in the afternoon with treats for the boys - another hit.
