The Lazy Days of Summer
It's officially summer vacation here. My morning schedule has loosened considerably - no lunches to pack and no morning dropoff means an extra 30 minutes in bed. The boys are loving it as well. The entire day is open so there is plenty of time to linger at the playground before moving on to another activity in the afternoon. Yesterday there was lots of playing at home, something they both love to do.
As much as all of this "downtime" goes against my nature, I'm forcing myself to take advantage and enjoy it. Camp, and the dance of pickup and dropoff and packing lunches, will be starting soon enough.
