Trying New Things
Over the weekend, the boys attended BB's best friend's birthday party. It was an ice skating/bowling party, neither of which BB or DD had ever done. I didn't know how the boys would respond, but they ended up loving both! There wasn't enough time on the ice for them to really get comfortable, but they agreed it's something they want to do again.
During bowling, it became pretty clear that DD especially was a standout star (even though he was the youngest kid there). He was getting strikes and spares almost every time it was his turn.
Ice skating and bowling aren't things I would have scheduled for the boys, but it did remind me of the importance of trying new things. Maybe we'll see you at the rink and alley.
