It reached 80 on Tuesday in D.C. In fact, this whole week will be warm and balmy. The thought of being confined to the office was too much to bear, so I snuck out for a walk along the National Mall. I stopped into the Smithsonian Haupt Garden, which was crowded with people that had the same idea. I didn't have my camera with me but I had my iPhone and I had to snap this photo.
I'm hoping that the warm weather will help to break me out of the box I've been in all of Fall and Winter. My old habits at work have come surging back and I find myself unhappy again. Taking a walk in the middle of the day helped to put things in perspective a bit.
