About a Boy
I know my boys are growing - they need haircuts and fingernail trimmings and new shoes and clothes all the time. This has always meant they were "growing" but never computed as "growing up." It isn't until I look through some of the photos I've taken that I see the changes. Certain photos, like this set of BB doing his work the other night, stops me in my tracks. There's my sweet child suddenly looking so grown up. Lean arms, pencil poised, oblivious to me and my camera.
So I enter another phase of parenting. In the younger years, there is no question, no doubt, about bonding. They love you and need you unconditionally. But now starts the time when that bond begins to stretch and I will have to start competing with friends. Game on.
