Garden Walk

I was on my own Saturday and made the decision to skip classes in favor of free range time.  We packed up early in the morning and arrived at Brookside Garden just as it opened.  If you haven't been before, it's a must for anyone who enjoys a beautiful garden.  The property is huge with numerous areas of interest - a Japanese tea pavilion, fountains, flowers, a children's garden.  We visited a good portion of Brookside but definitely not the whole thing.

During the holiday season, Brookside features a holiday light display that you walk.  It's beautifully done and something we like to do on a relatively balmy winter's night.

Wildlife we saw: geese, chipmunks, fish, and turtles.  One turtle was so large, DD could have ridden him.
