Finally, A Summer Weekend
As I had hoped, we had a fun and relaxing weekend. We started things Friday night with a late night out for ice cream, books, and a stroll, then home for the Olympics Opening Ceremony. The coverage was weak as was the ceremony itself.
On Saturday we met friends for a pool party. Their pool had a high dive that the boys tried for the first time! Swimming, dinner at the pool, and good conversation - that's summer.
Sunday was all ours. I only had one thing planned which was to go to the National Gallery to watch Pixar Shorts. We grabbed lunch at the cafe and then wondered around the West building before heading out for snow cones.
Although it's hard to think about, we did some back to school shopping just to get a jump in Fall. More errands afterwards before heading home for the night. We start another camp this week, our final one for the summer.
