The Lakehouse, Part 8

Our final day in Maine was a special one.  BB's favorite teacher retired this past year and moved to Deer Isle.  We made plans to visit him at his house, something BB really was looking forward to. The five of us visited Nervous Nelly Jams and Jellies, a fun destination for kids.  After lunch, Mr. M took us to his favorite "secret beach" where the boys climbed rocks and caught up with him on the latest happenings at school.

After we had returned, I sent Mr. M a few photos I had taken and he wrote to tell us that in 30 years of teaching, BB was one of all-time favorite students.  That was so nice to hear as a parent.  Not surprising, but nice.
