Swim Team Is Over!

It's like a whole new Summer to us now that swim team is over.  No more rushing between camp pick up, home, and swim practice daily.  No more meets on Wednesdays (late) and Saturdays (super early).  No more standing in the pouring rain.  As busy as we were with all of the practices, meets and events, it was a hell of a lot of fun for all of us!

This past weekend was Divisionals and BB was invited to swim.  Long story short, our BB kicked ass.  At the end of season awards banquet, he won a big trophy for all his efforts and a medal for placing 3rd in backstroke at Divisionals.  DD also won a trophy for his participation in meets.  I could go on and on but that would just be this mama bear bragging, when really it was the experience of it all - perseverance and dedication; giving it your all; competing for yourself; showing up for your team; cheering on your brother in a downpour; losing with a smile; winning with grace.  Life lessons.
