The first week back to school and activities is well underway. It seems so long ago now that we were all snowed in waiting for a snow plow that wouldn't come. We had been holed up since Friday evening when the snow starting falling steadily. By Tuesday morning, a plow finally came to take a first pass at our street. Freedom! We all packed into the car to explore. The main streets were mostly clear. There were so many people shopping and eating at local restaurants. Before this we hadn't seen another person in days.
We were all starving and after cooking three meals a day plus snacks for five days, lunch out sounded like heaven. Then we grabbed desserts, did some shopping,and bought some books. Nothing out of the ordinary but so exciting to us that day.
It's been almost two weeks since the Winter Storm Jonas hit and there's still snow on the ground. The snowfall really satisfied the boys' desire this Winter but I reminded them that it's not over yet. Last year there was snow well into March.
