The Long Weekend

Oh I was so looking forward to our mid-Winter long weekend.  So much work at the office but the long weekend offered an escape from it all.  We thought about going away, outings, projects.  But then the forecasters called for snow and ice.  And then DD got a stomach bug Friday night and was laid up all Saturday. 

Is this photo starting to look familiar?  I promise it's a new photo I snapped on Monday.  The snow started back up this morning and it's covering the ground quickly.  Going out wasn't much of a problem but the ice started falling in the evening.  A late lunch out and some shopping before going back home to stay warm.  The weekend didn't unfold the way I had planned but it turned out nicely.

Update:  Schools are closed today!
