Pumpkin Hunting

Before you go accusing me of false imprisonment of my family in a modern prefab mountain retreat, I thought I'd better let you see proof that we actually left Luminhaus to explore the environs.  We found out about a nearby orchard and took the boys there for pumpkin picking in the patch.  There was a corn maze, large hay structures the kids could play on, a store selling apple cider and apple slushies and apple doughnuts (we tried all 3, yum!), and a small petting zoo of rabbits, goats and a donkey.

I loved bringing home the pumpkins and gourds we picked and setting them out on our front stoop.  The day after our return, the weather went cool.  Fall is here.
