6.2 + The Playshed

As I mentioned, we stayed at Luminhaus for the long weekend.  Although I was completely seduced by the spare and modern architecture, I was equally taken with the property.  Luminhaus is situated on 6.2 luscious acres of woodland.  The owners have put in trails, installed bright colored birdhouses, and footbridges throughout.

After traversing the rough terrain, you are rewarded with a beautiful deck cantilevered off of a knoll and next to that is a large modern playshed.  The boys, especially DD, were delighted with the playshed and the glass Bell jars that can be used to collect interesting specimens.  George Washington National Forest and the Appalachian Trail are only a few miles away from Luminhaus but we never made it to either.  With 6.2 acres as your backyard, there is no need.
