They Are Growing
Even though we stay at the tippy top of Corolla (the northern beaches of OBX), we've started to drive down the banks all the way to Hatteras (and beyond) to enjoy the beaches out there. They are wild and we often enjoy them in solitude. This is in marked contrast to the body to body beach experience we have annually at Bethany. There was certainly a time in my life where my philosophy was the more people around the better, but I have changed. I like to let the boys run down the beach far, far away from me until I can barely make out their figures. It causes me joy and anxiety at the same time. I suppose it's a way for me to stretch that tether we still share; let it go for as long as I can stand before I call them back to my side.
