More Scenes From the Beach

How was your long weekend?  Ours was wonderfully relaxing although I'm feeling tired.  On holidays like Memorial Day, the city empties out and everything feels special.  We love walking the neighborhood and visiting our favorite spots during these times.  I'll post some photos this week of our weekend activities soon.

I just have a few more from our trip to OBX.  Based on the photos I've been posting here, you'd think we were at the beach every moment of the day.  We really weren't, and in fact, we spent lots of time doing other things but we did go to the beach almost every day and every evening.  We drove back down to Hatteras to another one of our favorite beaches to let the boys climb on large rocks and wade in the water.  DD caught a fish head in his net and boy was he proud.  Then we all watched as a seagull carried away as a tasty snack.  After dinner, we went for an evening week along our beach and soak our feet in the cool waters.  The sky and water turned all different colors, and everything had a golden hue.  The magic hour.
