Not only did I have celebratory dinner Friday night with a girlfriend, I had most of Saturday all to myself. A first since BB was born! C took the boys to his friend's house. Uncle D lives the pioneer man's life (despite his career) on 11 acres of land. His spread includes egg laying chickens, cows, goats, a vegetable garden, a beehive, and a treehouse.
BB and DD spent the day holding baby goats, jumping on the trampoline, and kayaking. When they finally came home that night, DD handed me a dozen eggs he had collected from the hens earlier in the day. Sometimes our city kids just need a day on the farm.
