It was the weekend of playdates. BB had a friend come over on Friday. Then on Saturday, the boys and I met our friends at the National Building Museum for an indoor playdate. Six boys in total running around in the largest indoor space we could think of. The good times were marred only by the fact that the museum was setting up for a Saturday evening event so the Great Hall wasn't open as usual. This didn't stop my boys from running everywhere. In the middle of it all, we went outside to see the (very rare) snowfall. BB and DD were in heaven. Cold as it was, they stayed outside until the snowfall ended. Their little faces were red but full of joy when it was all done.
While the six rugrats played, we moms caught up over tea and cookies. Not our usual "family" Saturday, but a fun way to spend the afternoon.
