Having kept BB and DD indoors for much of last weekend, we were all eager for some time in the great outdoors. This time we headed out to Winkler Botanical Preserve, a place that's been on my list for some time now. There was lots to do - a nice set of trails, stone steps that led to more paths, a small lake, wildlife, a shallow running stream, and waterfalls. While crossing the stream on stepping stones, DD bemoaned the fact that he didn't have his Bog boots on.
You know the boys had fun when an outing requires a change of pants and shoes. I promised a return trip in the Spring.
