Spending Time Outdoors

I wrote this Ohdeedoh post about the outdoor classroom at the boys' preschool.  Isn't it inspiring?  We just got through a rainy cold spell but today is sunny and 70s, a perfect (and rare) autumn day that only DC can have. Even I am starting to embrace the new season and started buying this year's fall clothes. Over the weekend we bought more jackets for the boys; can kids ever have enough jackets? Yesterday their seasonal clothing came in a big package - scarves and hats, some sweaters and long pants. I love you internet shopping.

It's a long weekend here in the States (for some of us) and the weather is going to be spectacular.  You better believe we'll be spending it outside as much as we can. What will be doing?

going to a Fall Festival
having a picnic
visiting a pumpkin patch
walking the Mall and taking in an art exhibit
taking a walk in GG/PP's neighborhood to check out all of the Halloween/Fall decorations (BB's favorite)
going on a nature walk to collect leaves and other things for our growing nature table
a birthday celebration for C, just the two of us!
a birthday celebration for C for all of us!
