Arcimboldo

BB came home one day to tell us about Arcimboldo.  "Who?" C and I asked.  "Arcimboldo."  As he described these faces made up of fruits and vegetables and flowers, we realized he was talking about the painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo.  They were learning about him in preschool.  So for An Art Project A Day today, BB tried his hand at this Arcimboldo sticker book C ordered.  You look for the missing portions of the paintings and find the sticker that fits.  It's actually quite difficult but BB enjoyed it.

The National Gallery of Art's fall exhibition features Arcimboldo (for those of you in the DC area) - definitely an outing for us this weekend plus lunch at our favorite Cascade Cafe.  And did I mention it's a long weekend + C's birthday?
