Staying up for the fireworks show definitely was the main event on the Fourth, but we spent the whole day together as a family. In the morning, we took a walk and went out for breakfast. DD and C conducted a few science experiments while BB drew a patriotic picture. We went shopping and then I grilled steaks for dinner. The heat was oppressive so we skipped the parade as well as a party to catch up with one another. It was a great day.
