Snowy Birthday

For the first time ever in DC (or at least to my knowledge), it snowed on my birthday!  We knew the night before that school and work would be closed so I looked forward to a day to spend with my family at home.  Today's snow is light and powdery so not great sledding snow but great for frolicking and falling about.  I watched from the window while making work calls.  The snowfall has ended now and I do think that is it for this season.  The snow gods answered our prayers!

Now the eternal question - what will schools do tomorrow?  But today we're having cake (store bought but decorated by the littles).  C and I celebrated Friday night.  That's called foresight.
